They want everyone to be able to find information on places they can go to do activities, meet friends and have fun! To help with this they have created a directory for young people in South Tyneside who have additional needs.

The directory is divided by area, with a handy map at the back, to help you find activities near you.

Or you can scan the QR code below:

The directory covers a huge range of activities such as:-

  • Swimming
  • Horse Riding
  • Dancing
  • Surfing
  • Cricket
  • Life skills

And many many more.

We support children and young people (up to age 17) with a wide range of disabilities. Support is based on the severity of the disability and the level of need.

If your child receives the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance, it’s likely our team will be involved.

Please note: We don’t usually offer services for children whose main needs are emotional, social, or behavioural (including ADHD), or provide specialist mental health support.
