At South Tyneside Care Academy, our vision is to build an Adult Social Care workforce that is representative of our local population, by encouraging more residents to choose a career from a wide range of opportunities available and supporting our existing workforce to further develop.

South Tyneside Care Academy is here to support the development of a well-led, skilled and valued social care workforce in South Tyneside.
We can deliver a range of courses from entry level right through to senior leadership and management qualifications.
What is Social Care
Adult Social Care supports people (and their carers) to stay independent and well so they can live the life they want.
Social Care is a sector where jobs are increasing, offering a wide range of long-term career opportunities, with opportunities for career progression.
If you are new to the sector, starting a career in social care can be very rewarding. There are lots of different roles depending on what you want to do, who you want to work with and where you’d like to work.
